Welcome to African House on Abel Cathrines Gade. Africa is a continent rich in artistic expression, and we are proud to share its cultural heritage with you! Among the products we offer is a colourful variety of African arts and crafts, African masks and figures, hand painted beads, baskets, bags etc. Besides jewellery you can find other colourful accessories and decorations for your home – all of African origin. FAIR TRADE: The products made in Africa are traded under the principles of fair trade. That means that the artists in the so called third world countries are paid a fair price for their products enabling them to make a living for their families. Our aim is to contribute to minimizing the gap between the rich countries and the so-called developing countries. African House also offers you a variety of afro-cosmetics, i.e. skin and hair products. Some of the products can be used by people of any colour, while others are especially for people with coloured skin. We are always ready to give you professional advice.

Buy your favourite African foodstuffs: You can buy frozen fish and meat in the shop, e.g. goat meat and different African specialities: chikwanga from Congo, miondo from Cameroon, attiéké from CoteIvoir. Much more can be found in the shop. Note that the frozen products are not shown on this page. Fresh products as plantain, yam, okro and matoke are also available.
